Week Ten - COHN
ESPNNewYork.com is also a great example of using grids well. It appears that the website only has four different grids- all team logos on top, big headlines with pictures in the middle left, recent news with no images to the right, and links to blogs on the bottom. The small amount of grids makes for easier navigation on the page and makes it easier to spend a lot of time on the site. By knowing how to get to any piece of information I would be searching for, I am more willing to log onto this site even for the smallest little fact or bit of news. Navigation is the key to web building and using grids properly is a key to simple navigation.
