Week 7-Stanislaus

This well known sign of school crossing is a good example of a silhouette. The two figures and lines are all black however, you can see that they are two people crossing a street. The use of the yellow background is a very effective color because it pops out at the driver so they can notice the sign. The sign is very effective in saying caution, people are crossing.

  1. A silhouette like this makes it very easy for a driver to see and understand a sign while not losing focus of the road.

  2. Although the color of yellow represents happiness, it also represents warning too. The use of color yellow as a background is great show for people to notice and also black contrast the background which it also noticeable. I also like the like how they drew the line on the side of the whole shape with using the color of black. I thought this made the sign more focused and easy for people to understand.
