Week Five-Schwartz

This image stuck out to me as a good example of the gestalt principles because of the way that the messages come across clearly and to the point. It is clear that it is very thought out, and the message is conveyed in a simple and straightforward manner. It is a concise advertisement for eyeglasses. It is also very creative and emphasizes closeness, as everything outside of the glasses is blurry but the difference that these glasses makes is very obvious through the image. The thoughtfulness of this ad is very apparent, but it still manages to do a unique and creative job of portraying the underlying message.

  1. I think this ad did so well on promoting the product. Displaying the background blurry except the glasses part is the good way of conveying their message. It might be better if they could place the glasses little higher. It seems they have to main focuses: ones on the word mark and the other is the clear vision through the glasses.

  2. I think this is a good example for gestalt as well. I really like how the focus is blurry for everything except that which is behind the eyeglasses. It draws the readers' eyes to the point of the advertisement - that with Vision-Trek, you can see clearly in a blurry world. I might have changed the fact that "Vision-Trek" is blurry - I would make it clear to match the type style of it's tag-line beneath it.
